Sheriff: Stay Home During Severe Weather

Police: "Stay home unless there is a dire emergency."

With ice and snow in the forecast for Friday night and Saturday, the Kendall County Sheriff's department is urging residents to stay off the roads if they can.

"The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind members of the public that during severe winter weather people should stay home unless there is a dire emergency," police said in a press release. "Anyone that must be driving in these conditions should have proper clothing and supplies with them. If weather is severe enough plow trucks and tow trucks may not be available. If you become stranded in some rural areas public safety may not be able to reach you for some time. "
