Police Blotter: Vehicle Beaten with Bat, Graffiti Reported

Black Graffiti Discovered
Someone sprayed black graffiti on a sign, three vehicles, and a rail-car in the 100 and 200 blocks of East Hydraulic Avenue, as well as on the Route 47 bridge over the Fox River, Yorkville police said. The graffiti amounts to more than $1,000 in damages and was reported about 10 a.m.

Two Arrests Related to Driver's Licenses
- Tara Abraham, 43, of the 300 block of Wentworth, Sandwich, was charged about 12 p.m. with driving without a valid license, Yorkville police said.
- Kimberly A. Griffith, 25, of the 0-100 block of North 13th Ave., St. Charles, was charged about 3 p.m. with driving while license suspended.
Man Fell Asleep at the Wheel

A 58-year-old Andover man fell asleep at the wheel while driving a 2003 Ford F350. He struck a culvert and tree on Route 47 north of Cannonball Trail about 12 a.m., Yorkville police said. No injuries were reported nor tickets issued.
Thursday, April 7Vehicle Beaten With Bat
An 18-year-old Bristol man reported that another man struck his vehicle with a baseball bat about 10:15 p.m. at Lillian Lane and Kennedy Road, Yorkville police said. The driver stopped the vehicle at the intersection when the offender appeared and struck the windshield and front bumper with the bat, causing an unknown amount of damage, police said. A suspect had been identified as of Friday morning, police said.
