Thursday, Feb. 24

Crash While Passing on Right

A 42-year-old Oak Forrest man was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center after an accident near 8115 Route 47 about 2:20 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s Police said. The man was driving south behind a 55-year-old Yorkville man driving a truck with a trailer. The  Yorkville man swung into the northbound lane to turn into a business, and the Oak Forrest man attempted to pass on the right, striking the other vehicle, according to police.

Bad Check Reported

Fox Valley Uniforms, 1165 N. Bridge St., received a bad check for $178 that was written from a closed account about 3:30 p.m., Yorkville Police said. A criminal investigation is continuing.

 Indentity Theft Reported

Identity fraud was reported to Yorkville Police about 8:45 a.m.

Monday, Feb. 21

Two Night Accidents Attributed to Ice

• A 36-year-old Yorkville woman slid on ice on north-bound Route 47, went into a ditch and rolled over, Kendall County Sheriff’s Police said. One of the four children in the car was treated on the scene. The accident happened about 7:05 p.m. south of Caton Farm Road.

• A 39-year-old Oswego woman slid on ice on Route 126 as she tried to slow to turn onto Grove Road about 8 p.m, according to police. Her vehicle struck another vehicle that was stopped on Route 126 waiting to turn. Both drivers and their adult passengers were taken to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora. Three of the adults were treated and released. A hospital spokeswoman had no information on the fourth person.
