Tuesday, May 24

Bus involved in accident

An International bus rear-ended a Freightliner tractor about 2:20 p.m. at Route 47 south of Van Emmon Road, Yorkville police said. The bus had a juvenile passenger but no one was taken to a hospital, police said. No tickets were issued.

MONDAY MAY 23

Retail theft alleged

A juvenile was cited with retail theft at Kohl’s Department Store, 945 Erica Lane, police said. The value of what was taken was $33, police said.

Driving while license suspended

Nathan Davis, 24, of the 2800 block of 3950th Road, Sheridan, was charged with driving while license suspended about 1 a.m. at Route 71 and Pavilion Road, police said.

Sunday, May 22

Underage DUI alleged

Andrew Klaus, 20, of the 300 block of Somonauk Street, Yorkville, was charged with driving under the influence about 2:40 a.m. at Route 47 and Somonauk Street, police said.

Friday, May 20

Crash at Route 47 and Washington Street

Joseph M. O’Malley, 16, of the 900 block of Morgan Street, Yorkville, was charged with disobeying a traffic control device after a traffic crash about 6 a.m. at Route 47 and Washington Street, police said. Police said O’Malley turned his Chevrolet S10 in front of a GMC Yukon driven by a 48-year-old Sugar Grove man.

O’Malley was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where he was treated and released.
