Police Blotter: Thousands in Tools Stolen from Public Works

More than $3,000 worth of tools were reported stolen over the holiday weekend from the Yorkville Public Works, 610 Tower Lane, police said. The total value of the miscellaneous tools is reported to be $3,240, according to reports.

Yorkville police arrested 18-year-old Samir E. Mahafzah, of Naperville, for DUI near the intersection of Route 34 and Route 47, police reported. Mahafzah was also cited for speeding, improper lane usage and carrying no proof of insurance, police said.
