Underaged Drinking Charged
Tyler D. Merkel, 20, of the 0-99 block of North Royal Oaks Drive, Bristol, and Dennis M. Melody, 20, of the 0-99 block of West Highland Drive, Bristol, were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol during a traffic stop about 12:50 a.m. at Spring Street and Teri Lane, Yorkville police said. Merkel also was charged with zero tolerance.

Three Unlocked Vehicles Burglarized
iPods were stolen from a Dodge Caravan and a Honda left unlocked overnight in the 400 block of West Center Street, police said. In the same block, a GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked Chevrolet Tahoe that night. The estimated value of the iPods was $200; the estimated value of the GPS was $100.

Teen with Alcohol Climbed Fence into Raging Waves
Zachary McClernon, 18, of the 2500 block of Quail Court, Aurora, was charged with unlawful possession and consumption of alcohol after he was caught climbing over a fence to sneak into Raging Waves water park about 1:35 p.m., police said.
Items Worth $740 Stolen from SuperTarget
Sharon T. Nelson, 50, and Bobby D. Nelson, 41, both of the 2000 block of Lilac Lane, Aurora, and Sheri Runburg, 41, of the 200 block of Laurel Drive, North Aurora, were charged with retail theft for allegedly taking $740 in merchandise from SuperTarget, 1652 Beecher Road, police said. Nelson also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. The incident happened about 8:55 p.m.
Shorts Stolen from Kohl's
Steven M. Haske, 19, of the 0-99 block of Hickory Lane, Yorkville, was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking a $30 pair of shorts from Kohl’s, 945 Erica Lane, police said.
Monday, June 18Charged with DUI
Keith E. Mallett, 45, of the 500 block of South Wesley Street, Oak Park, was charged with driving under the influence and four counts of endangering the life or health of a child about 4 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Bridge Street, police said. In connection with the same incident, Jaclyn D. Luckes, 30, of the 0-99 block of South Mason Avenue, Chicago, was charged with unlawful possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana, police said.
