Another Car in the Way? Just Kick It

Jacob Ronald Torres, 26, of the first block of Beau Meade Road in Montgomery, was charged with criminal damage to property at about 12:10 a.m., according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Torres told police he kicked a vehicle’s side mirror in the parking lot of Suzy’s Bar and Grill, 4353 Tuma Road, because the vehicle was blocking his friend’s vehicle, according to reports.

Driving While License Revoked Charged

  • Curtis Charles Garbin, 41, of the 2300 block of Woodhill Court in Joliet, was charged with driving while license revoked, obstructing identification and no rear registration light at about 1:33 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office said.
  • Jordan Allen Burgos, 19, of the first block of Highview Drive in Yorkville, was charged with driving while license revoked and driving an off-highway motorcycle on the road at about 7:45 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office said.

Trespassing to Smoke Marijuana

Two male juveniles were charged after Yorkville police said they went into a vacant home in the 2900 block of Ellsworth Drive to smoke marijuana about 1:10 p.m. Both boys were charged with criminal trespass to residence, and one also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Home Burglarized

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a home burglary that happened in the 7100 block of Ironwood Court in Yorkville between March 26 and April 3 while the residents were out-of-town.

Speeding More Than 40 mph Over The Limit

Michael P. Hess, 24, of the 1300 block of West Indian Trail in Aurora, was charged with speeding more than 40 mph over the limit at about 12:15 a.m., Yorkville police said. He was driving 80 mph in a 35-mph zone at Route 34 and Game Farm Road, according to reports.

DUI Accident Alleged

Jessica Anthony, 22, of the 4000 block of Cummins Street in Plano, was charged with driving under the influence after Yorkville police said she drove a Chrysler 300 off the road and struck a traffic signal at Route 34 and Game Farm Road. Both Anthony and a 23-year-old female passenger were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora at about 5 a.m.

Saturday, April 2

Marijuana Charges Filed

Travis James Cox, 36, of the 2900 block of East 729th Road in Utica, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to signal at about 6 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office said. He also was served a LaSalle County warrant in connection with contempt of court, according to reports.

Credit Cards Stolen

Someone stole three credit cards from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Arrowhead Drive, Yorkville police said.

Home Burglary Reported

A residential burglary was reported at about 8 a.m. in the 500 block of Buckthorn Court, Yorkville police said.

Marijuana Charges Filed

Jeff E. Peterson, 54, of the 100 block of Madison Street in Oswego, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia at about 10 a.m., Yorkville police said.

Wednesday, March 30

Residential Burglary Reported

A residential burglary was reported at about 11:30 p.m. in the first block of Winding Creek Drive in Yorkville, sheriff’s police said.

Vehicle Robbed

A laptop computer, computer case and three memory cards were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of North Bridge Street, Yorkville police said.
