Theft Reported

A $199 Kindle Fire was stolen from the 600 block of State Street between July 25 and Aug. 17, Yorkville police said.

Patio Umbrella Damaged

A $150 patio umbrella was broken overnight in the 1000 block of Stillwater Court, police said.

Fire in a City Park

Police said they helped the Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District with a $100 garbage can in Stepping Stones Park in the 3100 block of Grande Trail that was on fire.

Allegedly Stole Eyeliner

A 16-year-old was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking $28.50 in eyeliner and pearl earrings from Kohl’s, 945 Erica Lane.

Saturday, Sept. 22

Jewelry Reportedly Pilfered

A boy was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing $26 in jewelry from Target, 1652 Beecher Road.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

Credit Card Fraud Reported

A resident of the 1900 block of Weston Avenue reported unauthorized online charges to his credit card.

Monday, Sept. 17

Charged After Traffic Crash

Sarah A. Baksin, 32, of the 2900 block of Alyssa Street, Plano, was charged with following too closely, failure to give information, improper lane use and driving without insurance, police said. Her Chevrolet Tahoe allegedly rear-ended a Toyota Camry about 4:45 p.m. at Route 34 and Game Farm Road.

Minors Allegedly Burglarized Vehicle

A 17-year-old from Yorkville and a 16-year-old from Plano were charged with burglary to motor vehicle for allegedly taking a $125 iPod and $13.74 in change from an unlocked vehicle.
