Retail Theft

Police cited 20-year-old Anna K.R. Glass, of the 1300 block of Marketplace Drive, and a 17-year-old juvenile for retail theft. Police said Glass took a shirt valued at $36 and the juvenile took assorted clothes valued at $108 from a business in the 900 block of Erica Lane.

Automobile Accident Results in Injuries

A 19-year-old Yorkville woman was injured after her vehicle rolled over multiple times in an accident east of Grove Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Officers determined Ashley L. Legler was travelling at a high rate of speed and lost control of her vehicle which rolled several times before coming to rest. Legler was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, deputies said. The types of injuries Legler received was not disclosed.

Aggravated Assault Charged

A Longbeach Elementary School parent was charged with aggravated assault after getting into a heated verbal exchange with another individual in front of the school Thursday morning at about 8:26, according to reports. Deputies said 37-year-old  Charles E. Baker of the 1300 block of Marketplace Drive first got into the verbal exchange while in his car, but then "recklessly drove" his car to the front of the school and attempted to continue the argument until another staff member separated the two individuals. Booker was charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and reckless driving and taken to Kendall County Jail. The altercation did not involve any students, officers said.
