Police Blotter: Park Bleachers Stolen

Retail Theft Reported

Ashley A. Chavez, 28, and Marshall H. Roy, 22, both of the 200 block of North Main St. in Leland, were charged with retail theft after Yorkville police said they took about $175 in merchandise from a store in the 900 block of Erica Lane.

Theft at Hampton Inn

A 42-year-old Yorkville woman reported her vehicle and credit card were missing after she spent the night at the Hampton Inn, 310 E. Countryside Parkway.

DUI Charged in Traffic Crash

Megan L. Hughes, 20, of the 12000 block of Ashley Road, Newark, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, unlawful consumption of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane use, police said. Police said she hit two parked cars at about 11:08 p.m. in the 200 block of East Main Street in Yorkville.

Another DUI Reported

Amy K. Larson, 36, of the 400 block of West Abe Street in Plano, was charged at about 8:45 p.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and endangering the life of a child, police said.

Park Bleacher Stolen

A $1,187 section of bleachers was stolen from a city park at Alan Dale Lane and Honeysuckle Lane between Friday, March 16 and Wednesday, March 21, police said.

Laptop and Meds Stolen

A laptop and prescription medication were reported stolen from a 54-year-old woman in the 1000 block of North Bridge Street, police said. Their combined value was $300.

Curfew Violation Reported

A boy was charged with a curfew violation and obstructing justice after police said he lied about his identity at about 2:05 a.m. at Route 47 and Somonauk Road.

DUI, Pot Possession Charged

Paul M. Zagonsel, 43, of the 200 block of River Street in Yorkville, was charged with driving under the influence, unlawful possession of marijuana and disobeying a traffic signal, police said.
