Questions Over Photography
Yorkville police said they are investigating a complaint of someone photographing a house in the 4500 block of Marquette Street about 8:30 p.m. The subject reportedly remained in his vehicle.

Another Man Accused of Photographing Girls
A 37-year-old Somonauk man who was taking photographs of Raging Waves patrons from his vehicle in the water park’s parking lot was arrested about 5:17 p.m., police said. Douglas J. Doss, of the 200 block of Holiday Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct, police said. Police said he admitted to photographing girls.

Charged with Battery
Timothy Tatum, 51, of the 7000 block of Route 34, Yorkville, was charged with battery about 7 p.m. at Walnut Street and Route 47, police said. Officers said Tatum pushed a van door shut as another man was trying to get out of the vehicle and caused a small cut to the other man.
Bath Mat, Other Items Missing
A $10 blue bath mat, a “Lion of Judah” gold-plated statue worth $40 and a $15 plastic prayer box were reported stolen from a home in the 400 block of West Washington Street, police said.
Umbrella Reported Stolen
An 8-foot blue deck umbrella was taken from the rear deck of a home in the 300 block of Windham Circle between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday. The umbrella was worth about $80.
Wednesday, July 25Spilled on the Highway
John Schmitz, 41, of the 1000 block of Farmstead Lane, DeKalb, was charged with depositing load on highway about 7 a.m., police said. Schmitz had stopped at a red light at Route 47 and Galena Road.
Driving Without a License
Julio Cesar Oliva-Cuevas, 26, of the 300 block of Deer Road, North Aurora, was charged with driving without a valid license, police said.
Monday, July 23Vandalism at Beecher Center
A Pepsi vending machine was damaged at a Beecher Center field at 908 Game Farm Road. The front of the machine was pried open.
Saturday, July 21Boy Accused of Theft at Raging Waves
A juvenile was charged with theft and resisting apprehension about 4 p.m. at Raging Waves water park, 4000 N. Bridge St. He stole two cellular phones from bags, police said.
