Friday, Dec. 3

Car Strikes Tree

Patrick W. McAndrews, 21, of the 100 block of North Van Nortwick Avenue in Batavia, was charged with driving without insurance after the 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier he was driving struck a tree in the 1700 block of John Street at about 11:16 p.m., police said.

House Egged

Someone egged a house in the 500 block of East Main Street. The damage was reported around 8:40 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 2

Yorkville Man Charged in Hit-and-Run

Kevin Brummel, 51, of the first block of Timber Creek Drive in Yorkville, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, no insurance, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to give information following an accident, according to reports. His 2003 Volvo semi collided with a 1996 Pontiac coupe driven by a Montgomery woman at about 5:53 p.m. at Beaver and Deer streets in Yorkville, police said. No injuries were reported to police.

Burglary Reported

Yorkville police responded around 5:20 p.m. to a report of a burglary in the 300 block of Mulhern Court.

SUV Strikes Tree

Kevin Bennett, 33, of the 200 block of Bertram Drive in Yorkville, was charged with failure to report an accident to police and failure to give information after striking property, police said. The 2010 Chevrolet SUV he was driving struck a tree in the 4400 block of Rosenwinkel Street at about 12:33 a.m., according to officers.
