Tuesday, March 13

Drug Paraphernalia Found

Valerie L. Espinoza, 19, of the 4200 block of Lindley Street in Downers Grove, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia at about 9 a.m. at Route 71 and Hollenback Road, Yorkville police said.

Monday, March 12

DUI Charged

Paul M. Zagonsel, 43, of the 200 block of River Road, was charged with driving under the influence and possession of marijuana at about 9:45 p.m. at routes 71 and 47, police said.

Friday, March 9

Accidents Within Minutes of Each Other

A 2001 Jaguar convertible fled two traffic crashes within minutes of each other near routes 34 and 47, Yorkville police said. Tony Wall, 51, of the 1300 block of Douglas Road in Montgomery, struck a Hyundai sedan ahead of him on westbound Route 34 near Route 47 at about 8:30 a.m., police said. Wall then passed through a nearby parking lot and drove south on Route 47 where he hit a Toyota Camry, police said. Wall was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to yield from a private drive, two counts of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, two counts of driving without insurance, and two counts of driving while license suspended, police said.

Bulldozer Damaged

About $400 in damage was reported to the windshield of a bulldozer parked in the 300 block of River Road. The bulldozer is owned by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

Tuesday, March 6

Kindle Stolen

A student left a $200 Kindle Fire on the school bus at Yorkville Middle School. Someone else picked it up and has been using it for their personal use, police said.

Saturday, March 3

Bicycle Stolen

A $300 bike was reported stolen from an unlocked garage in the 1200 block of Chestnut Lane, police said.

Thefts from Target and Kohl's

Susan D. Lenske, 41, of the 3000 block of Foxmoor Drive in Montgomery, was charged with two counts of retail theft in connection with incidents at Target and Kohl’s, police said.
