Obscene text messages reported
A 20-year-old Bristol woman reported that someone kept sending her obscene text messages after she told him or her to stop, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Two injured in accident
A GMC delivery van struck the back of a Volkswagen Jetta whose driver had been attempting to turn into a driveway in the 8100 block of Route 47, sheriff’s police said. Police cited the van’s driver, Ronald G. Cantrell, 54, of Bloomington, with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, sheriff’s police said. Cantrell and the Jetta’s driver, a 30-year-old woman from Seneca, were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center, where they were treated and released. The crash happened about 8:30 a.m.

Identity theft reported
A 42-year-old Yorkville woman reported that someone tried to buy an air purifier with her credit card number without her permission, police said.
Woman allegedly locks police out after discovering warrant
Jennifer Lee Schmoker, 32, of the 6300 block of Chicago Road, Yorkville, took her dog inside her home and locked the door after a sheriff’s deputy informed her he had an arrest warrant alleging she had driven while her license was revoked about 6:30 p.m., sheriff’s police said. Schmoker refused to come out of the home but eventually was arrested on the warrant and charged with obstructing a peace officer, police said.
Investigating possible paving scam
Sheriff’s police said they were investigating allegations of financial exploitation of an elderly person after an 88-year-old Yorkville man paid someone $2,000 to blacktop a driveway that measures 80 feet by 23 feet.
