Saturday, Aug. 20

Charged After Traffic Crash

Gloria Sanchez, 42, of the 300 block of North Evanslawn Avenue, Aurora, was charged about 2:30 p.m. with driving without a valid license after a traffic crash at Route 47 and Wheaton Avenue,  said.

Patio Door Reported Broken

A glass patio door was reported broken in the 300 block of Mulhern Court. The damage happened either Aug. 19 or Aug. 20, Yorkville police said.

Car Reported Burglarized

Yorkville police are investigating a vehicle that was burglarized about 8:15 a.m. in the 700 block of Heustis Street.

Thursday, Aug. 18

Man Charged After Accident

Pierce C. Provance, 21, of the 3000 block of East 1961st Street, Ottawa, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, Yorkville police said. Police said his Chrysler Cirrus rear-ended a Nissan Pathfinder driven by a 43-year-old Yorkville woman about 4 p.m. The Pathfinder’s driver was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

Items Stolen from Home

A $150 iPod Touch and $50 cash were reported stolen about 2 p.m. from a home in the 900 block of South Main Street, Yorkville police said.

Monday, Aug. 15

Five-Vehicle Accident

Stephen W. Ambrust, 50, of the 500 block of Heritage, Mackinaw, Ill., was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and following too closely in connection with a five-vehicle accident about 1 p.m. at Route 47 and Corneils Road. In the same accident, Wayne B. Adams, 59, of Finley Road in Sugar Grove, was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle.
