Phone wires damaged

A 1996 International truck driven by a 47-year-old Palatine man struck and damaged telephone cables on Garden Street at Route 47 about 12:38 p.m., Yorkville police said.

Fight on high school bus

A 15-year-old boy was charged with battery after repeatedly striking another 15-year-old boy in the face and neck about 2:30 p.m., Yorkville police said. The incident happened on a school bus at Yorkville High School, 797 Game Farm Road.

Shoes reported stolen

A 14-year-old boy reported that a $90 pair of shoes were stolen from his athletic locker at Yorkville High School, 797 Game Farm Road, Yorkville police said.

Cellular phone stolen, SIM card recovered

A $250 Blackberry Curve cellular phone was reported stolen about 5 p.m. from Target, 1652 Beecher Road. The cellular phone had been left in a dressing room. The victim recovered the SIM card.
