Charged After Traffic Crash

Dorian Thiele, 40, of the 700 block of North Bridge Street, Yorkville, was charged with driving while license suspended at about 8:30 a.m. after a car crash, Yorkville police said. Thiele’s Mercury Mountaineer struck a Pontiac Montana driven by a 74-year-old Yorkville woman at Route 47 north of Park Street, police said. He also was arrested on an unspecified warrant.

Friday, May 6

Construction Equipment Reported Stolen

More than $50,000 worth of construction equipment was reported stolen from a building in the 8700 block of Route 71, police said. The time of the theft was unknown as police investigated the incident Saturday.

Riding Lawnmower Also Reported Stolen

A $1,750 riding lawnmower was apparently stolen at about 1:30 p.m. from the 300 block of East Blackberry Lane, police said. The Sears Craftsman mower was gray and black in color.

Driving Without License Charged

Eugenio Alcantara, 32, of the 1200 block of Marketplace Drive, Yorkville, was charged at about 9:50 a.m. with driving without a valid license in the 300 block of East Veterans Parkway.
