Panty Sniffer Charged with Disorderly Conduct: Police

The following incidents were reported by the Yorkville Police Department.

Dec. 14, 2012

Burglary from a Vehicle/ Home

An unknown individual entered an unlocked vehicle in the 2000 block of Deerpoint Lane and removed a garage door opener, according to police. Using the opener the individual gained entry into the residence, but nothing was taken, police said.

Identity Theft

An unknown individual fraudulently opened a credit card account in the name of a Yorkville resident, police said. Police are investigating.

Domestic Battery/ Criminal Damage to Property

Yorkville police arrested 39-year-old Geoffrey J. Petriekis of Somonauk for domestic battery and criminal damage to property to a vehicle in the 600 block of North Veterans Parkway. Police allege Petriekis broke a headlight and cellular telephone with a value of $200 and $400 respectively, according to reports.

Identity Theft

A Yorkville resident reported someone fraudulently made an unauthorized purchase of nearly $100 in phone cards, police said.

Disorderly Conduct

Yorkville police arrested 34-year-old Damien R. Dickens of Aurora for disorderly conduct. Police allege Dickens was sniffing women's underwear on sale racks and following female customers around a retail establishment in the 900 block of Windemere Lane.
