Police Blotter: Copper Pipe Missing from Construction Projects

Yorkville police reports for Dec. 5.

The following incidents were reported by the Yorkville Police Department.

Dec. 4, 2012

Burglary

An unknown person, or persons, entered four residential construction sites along the 2300 block of Titus Drive and stole $2,200 worth of copper piping, police said. The perpetrators also allegedly damaged a water meter at two of the houses under construction, according to the report. Police are investigating.

Dec. 5, 2012

Vandalism

An unknown person pried the side mirror from the housing of an automobile from a residence in the 500 block of West Kendall Drive, according to police.
The incident occurred sometime on Nov. 16, but was not documented with police until this week. The mirror, valued at $240, has been replaced, police said.
