Police Blotter: Burglaries, DUI Reported

Kendall County Sheriff's Office reports involving Yorkville-area incidents and residents, April 22 to May 2

Wednesday, May 2

Burglaries Reported

A 59-year-old Yorkville man reported that several buildings and two recreational vehicles were burglarized and damaged in the 8600 block of Galena Road, sheriff's police said. Several items were reported missing. The incident happened between April 28 and April 30.

Monday, April 30

Domestic Battery Reported

A 58-year-old Yorkville area man was punched in the mouth during an argument with a family member, who left on foot, police said. The incident is under investigation.

Saturday, April 28

Warrant Arrest

Wayne Allen Yano, 24, of the 9300 block of Route 34, Yorkville, was arrested at about 11:55 p.m. on a warrant in connection with failing to appear in court in connection with a domestic battery case, police said.

Wednesday, April 25

Chain Saw Reported Stolen

A 67-year-old Bristol man reported that a chain saw had been stolen from a barn on West Galena Road.

Sunday, April 22

DUI Charged

Kyle Robert Madsen, 23, of the 2900 block of N. 4351st Road, Sheridan, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 2.6 grams of marijuana, police said. He also was cited with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane use, illegal transportation of alcohol and no valid registration, police said. The traffic stop happened at about 2 a.m. at Veterans Parkway and Beecher Road.
