Monday, Feb. 13

Driving on a Suspended License

Nicholas J. Jagg, 26, of the 400 block of Hennspin Street, Granville, IL, was charged at about 10:50 a.m. with driving on a suspended license at routes 71 and 126, police said.

Sunday, Feb. 12

More Driving on a Suspended License

  • Wilshard J. McKenzie, 25, of the 9600 block of Sappington Avenue, Jacksonville, FL, was charged at about 10:40 p.m. with driving while license suspended, police said.
  • Eric P. Ellison, 24, of the 9000 block of Treetop Drive, Orland Park, was charged at about 4:30 a.m. with driving while license suspended, police said.

Account Reported Compromised

An employee in the 500 block of Faxon Road, Yorkville, reported a utilities account had been tampered with between February 2011 and February 2012, police said.

Saturday, Feb. 11

Shoplifting Sunglasses

Jose P. Gonzalez, 38, of the 2000 block of North Cook Street, Plano, was charged at about 7 p.m. with retail theft after police said he took a $28 pair of sunglasses from Kohl’s, 945 Erica Lane.

Traffic Charge

Tammie J. Shilka, 49, of the 500 block of West Kendall Drive, was charged at about 6:50 p.m. with driving without a valid license, police said.

Friday, Feb. 10

Shoes Stolen From High School

A pair of $125 shoes were reported stolen at 8:30 a.m. at Yorkville High School, 797 Game Farm Road, police said.

Charges in One-Car Accident

Jacob D. Tummins, 24, of the 1100 block of Union Street, Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without insurance, improper lane use, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving too fast for conditions, police said. He drove a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer off the roadway and struck the railroad crossing sign on Kennedy Road at about 11:40 p.m., police said. Tummins was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora.

Thursday, Feb. 9

Payment Demanded

Someone threw a brick through a front-door window in the 1400 block of Orchid Street at about 9:20 p.m., causing about $200 in damage, police said. A note attached to the brick demanded payment of a $20 debt.

Traffic Crash

Nicole Ashford, of the 500 block of Gregory Lane, Plano, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a crash at about 6 p.m. at Route 34 and Eldamain Road, police said.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

Flute Reported Stolen

A student reported that an $800 flute was stolen from Yorkville Middle School, 920 Prairie Crossing Drive, between Feb. 8 and Feb. 9, police said.

Identity Theft Reported

After receiving notice of unpaid income taxes, a Yorkville resident reported that someone had been using their social security number to work in California in 2010.

Retail Theft Reported

Abigail Alonso, 19, of the 700 block of Schomer Avenue, Aurora, and Alexandria Klicpera, 19, of the 700 block of Sexton Avenue, Aurora, were charged with retail theft after an incident around 8:53 p.m. in the 900 block of Erica Lane, police said.

Traffic Charges

  • Police said Ruben Magona, 18, of the 3800 block of East 30th Road, Sheridan, was charged at 4 a.m. with driving without a driver’s license and speeding.
  • Erika K. Lorenzini, 27, of the 3000 block of Hoffman Street, Plano, was charged about 1 a.m. with driving while license suspended, police said.

Police investigated a battery at Yorkville Middle School, 920 Prairie Crossing Drive.

Saturday, Feb. 4

Identity Theft

A resident reported $241 in unauthorized charges on her credit card.
