Police: 225-Pound Iron Kettle Stolen from Yard

Kendall County Sheriff's police are seeking information about a large cast iron kettle stolen from the 11500 block of Route 71 outside Yorkville.

The 225-pound black kettle was taken between 4 p.m. Sept. 3 and 4 p.m. Sept. 5, sheriff's police said in a news release. The kettle is about 2.5 feet in diameter and being used as a lawn decoration.

People with information can call CrimeStoppers at (630) 553-5999. They may receive up to $1,000 if their information leads to the offender's arrest.
