Area Man Charged with Multiple Counts of Child Pornography

Matthew D. Holmes, 29, charged with multiple counts of child pornography and aggravated child pornography.

An Oswego-area man has been charged with multiple counts of child pornography and aggravated child pornography, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Matthew D. Holmes, 29, of the 4700 block of Reservation Road, was arrested after Sheriff’s deputies, assisted by investigators from the Illinois Attorney General's Office, executed a search warrant of his house on Feb. 21.

The Sheriff’s office received information that an individual may be in possession of child pornography in the 4700 block of Reservation Road and initiated an investigation.

The investigation charged Holmes with 6 counts of child pornography and 6 counts of aggravated child pornography, 5 of which are Class X felonies.

Holmes is currently being held in Kendall County Jail pending a bond hearing on Feb. 23.

I agree, those that cast stones don't think about the family members that are trying to deal with the charges. I have to say that if you were his parent, you would hate to be reading the negative comments on this page. Until the facts are known, please should remember what I am sure your parents taught you, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything. If you don't know him, his family or the facts....keep your comments to yourself.

Jacqueline -- you are in denial. Did he or did he not have child pornography on his computer? If so, then he exploits children for his own sexually deviant desires. Anyone who likes pictures and videos of children being raped is at the least a potential predator.

Pedo, look at Jacquelyn's last name. Jackie, I'm sorry your family is going through this. I don't know any of the details except what is written here, but my prayers go out to you. (I'm a mom of a fellow classmate from Eastview & I remember you from there)

Jacquelyn, you are brave to use your real name and remind people of your family's feelings. The Patch would be a much nicer place if no one had an alias. I hope that your family finds peace soon.
