National Night Out Tonight

The event in Town Square Park features games and police demonstrations.

will participate tonight in a national effort that encourages residents to meet their neighbors and law enforcement, according to a news release.

National Night Out will feature games, food and demonstrations from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, in . Then, the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department will show Puss in Boots at , starting at dusk.

Both events are free.

Yorkville's National Night Out "is hosted by the Yorkville Police Department with the assistance of , , Home Plate Hotdogs, Yorkville Citizen's Police Academy Alumni, Yorkville Parks and Recreation and ," according to the news release.
