Montgomery Woman Wanted in Connection to Stolen Checks

Police are asking for the public's help in locating 26-year-old Reana Bennett.

Kendall County Sheriff's Police are looking for a 26-year-old Montgomery woman accused of misdemeanor theft.

Police said the whereabouts of Reana Bennett are currently unknown. A warrant was issued Feb. 21 for Bennett's arrest following a three-month investigation by sheriff's police.

According to police, a resident of the 0-100 block of Amesburgy in unincorporated Montgomery reported in November that numerous checks were missing. 

Following the investigation, a warrant was issued for Bennett's arrest. Police said she is an acquaintance of the victim. 

Deputies are asking anyone with information on Bennett's whereabouts to call  the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Section at (630) 553-7500, extension 1132. 

Anonymous tips may also be provided to Crimestoppers, at (630)553-5999, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

Bond for Bennett is set at $2,500, police said.
