Man Reported Attacked with Knife: Police

Monday, May 27

Battery
Yorkville police are investigating an incident of battery that occurred at 1:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Bertram Drive. The victim was outside his garage smoking a cigarette when three unidentified males approached him. The victim was punched in the face and then cut with a knife on his arms. He declined medical treatment.

Sunday, May 26

Noise complaint, possession of tobacco by a minor, curfew
A male juvenile, 16, was charged at 12:22 a.m. in the 1300 block of Marketplace Drive with a noise complaint, curfew violation and possession of tobacco by a minor, said Yorkville police. He was released to a third party following the incident.

Burglary from motor vehicle
Yorkville police are investigating a reported burglary from a motor vehicle that occurred at 3:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Sunset Avenue. $100 worth of items were reported taken from the unlocked vehicle.

Hit and run
Yorkville police took a report for a hit and run that occurred at 11:45 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Beecher Road. An unknown vehicle struck the victim’s car in a parking lot.

Motor vehicle theft
Yorkville police are investigating a possible motor vehicle theft that occurred at 12:39 p.m. in the 700 block of Independence Court.

Friday, May 24

Unlawful consumption of alcohol
Five juveniles were charged at 11:50 p.m. in the 1300 block of Marketplace Drive with the unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, said Yorkville police. All juveniles were released to their parents and referred to juvenile courts.

DUI
Daniel W. Cosma, 35, of the 300 block of Millhorn Court, Yorkville was arrested at 9:14 p.m. in the 1900 block of Marketview Drive, and charged with driving under the influence, said Yorkville police.

Identity theft
Yorkville police took a report for an identity theft that occurred at 2:33 p.m. in the 100 block of Willoughby Court, Yorkville.

Wednesday, May 22

Warrant
Lucia McDermott, of the 100 block of Bertram Drive, Yorkville, was arrested at 2:03 p.m. after turning herself in at the Yorkville Police Department for an in state warrant, said Yorkville police.
