Man Dies in Friday Route 126 Accident

Man had been taken by helicopter to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Matthew Meyer, 29, of Plainfield died from injuries received from a single-car crash that happened at about 6:10 p.m. Friday on Route 126 near Hopkins Road, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's office. 

The sheriff's office said Meyer was traveling eastbound on Route 126 approaching Hopkins Road. Meyer's car went off the road to the right and went across the road way to the left. The car then hit a wooden fence and a large tree. 

Meyer was taken by helicopter to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove where he was pronounced dead later Friday evening.
