Man Arrested for Using Counterfeit Bills at Yorkville Business

Dionta L. McIntosh, 22, passed counterfeit bills multiple times in under a week.

A local man was arrested following a brief investigation for the use of counterfeit bills at a Yorkville business.

Dionta L. McIntosh, 22, of the 2200 block of Lynn Drive, Montgomery, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at a business in the 1600 block of North Beecher, Yorkville after he tried to pass a counterfeit $50 bill. 

He was charged with theft, said Yorkville police.

Yorkville police said he was found to have passed counterfeit money eight times between Jan. 14 and Jan. 19.

The total amount reported as theft was $400 between the counterfeit currency and merchandise.

McIntosh is scheduled to appear in Kendall County court on Feb. 24.
