Erratic Driving Leads to DUI Drug Arrest: Sheriff

Sunday, Aug. 4

No valid driver’s license

Xochitl Gonzalez, 33, of the 1000 block of Assell Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. at Fernwood and Pembrooke and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, said the Sheriff’s office.

Saturday, Aug. 3

DUI, possession of controlled substance

Ethan Michael Price, 22, of the 41W100 block of Sylvan Drive, Elburn, was arrested at 10:05 a.m. at Route 31 and Anchor and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and the possession of a controlled substance, said the Sheriff’s office. The Sheriff’s office received a report of a vehicle driving erratically and after stopping the vehicle deputies found a small bag of pills in Price’s possession after he submitted to and failed a field sobriety test.

Friday, Aug. 2

Warrant

Jesus Villegas, 23, of the 600 block of Manhattan Circle, Oswego, was arrested at 3:42 p.m. at the Sheriff’s office, and charged with a warrant for the possession of a stolen firearm, said the Sheriff’s office. He was in custody the Sheriff’s office for a residential burglary charge.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a theft of a 7” Amazon Kindle Fire tablet with a cover that occurred between 9:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the Boulder Point Park District Facility. The victim reported an unknown person took it after it was placed down in the waiting room. There is no suspect or offender at this time.

Unlawful consumption of alcoholic liquor, warrant

Samantha Ann Burton, 20, of the 100 block of Colonial Parkway, Yorkville, was arrested at 8:04 p.m. in the 10800 block of Route 71, Yorkville, and charged with the unlawful consumption of alcoholic liquor and an in state warrant violation of an order of protection, said the Sheriff’s office.

Thursday, Aug. 1

Domestic battery

Sherriff’s deputies took a report for a domestic battery incident that occurred at 10:19 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Anna Marine Lane, Oswego. A male juvenile, 15, reportedly battered a family member and then fled the residence prior to the deputies’ arrival.

Wednesday, July 31

DUI, endangering life of a child

Michael Joseph Nickels, 27, of the 37W700 block of Heritage Drive, Batavia, was arrested at 11:07 p.m. at Route 30 and Route 47 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and endangering the life of a child, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited with speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, following too closely and littering from a vehicle.

DUI, property damage accident

Joseph Martin Meyer, 21, of the 700 block of North Main Street, Montgomery, was arrested at 3:20 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Circle Drive West, Montgomery, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was involved in a property damage accident, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Hit and run

The Sheriff’s office took a report for a hit and run that occurred between July 31 and Aug. 1 in the 11500 block of Route 71, Yorkville. The victim discovered tire tracks in his yard and approximately 72 feet of  his white 4x8 fiberglass fencing had been damaged after a vehicle struck it and left the scene without reporting the damage.
