Identity theft

Yorkville police took a report of identity theft that occurred at 4:14 p.m. n the 1200 block of Sunset Avenue.

Justin E. Marx, 23, of the 500 block of Alexander Street, Peoria, was arrested at 9:20 p.m. at Route 47 and Water Park Way and charged with a failure to appear warrant, said Yorkville police.

Sunday, Aug. 4

DUI

Salvador Galindo, 20, of the 2400 block of Thunder Gulch Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 3:12 a.m. at Route 47 and Orange and charged with driving under the influence after police stopped him on suspicion of driving under the influence and he poorly performed field sobriety tests, said Yorkville police.

Theft

Yorkville police took a report of a theft from a mailbox that occurred between Aug. 2 and Aug. 4 in the 2800 block of Old Glory Drive. A check was reported taken from a mailbox.

Saturday, Aug. 3

Warrant

Corrine A. Marks, 23, of the 0-99 block of Main Street, Decatur, was arrested at 12:36 p.m. at Cottonwood Trail and Diehl Farm Road and charged with a warrant, said Yorkville police.

Retail theft

Elizabeth Strazzante, 18, of the 1000 block of Carolyn Court, Yorkville was charged with retail theft of $38 after she stole a t-shirt and a pair of earrings, said Yorkville police. She was released on a city ordinance.

Friday, Aug. 2

Fraud

Yorkville police took a report of credit card/debit fraud that occurred between July 29 and Aug. 2. The victim reported someone had used her card to purchase items totaling $577.04 from Yorkville shops.

Theft

Yorkville police took a report of a stolen bicycle that was taken at 2 p.m. in the 2700 block of Alan Dale Lane. The bike is valued at $150.

Thursday, Aug. 1

Criminal damage to property

Yorkville police took a report of criminal damage to property that occurred at 8:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Bridge at the Circle K. The victim reported going inside the store to purchase items, and upon leaving she noticed a female subject rubbing the car and then later noticed a scratch. Damage is estimated at $600.

Railroad crossing accident

A 34-year-old woman was in an accident that occurred at 7:15 p.m. at Mill Road and Tuscany Trail. Her vehicle was struck by a railroad-crossing arm, according to Yorkville police.
