Cash and Tools Reported Stolen in Burglary: Police

Tuesday, Sept. 17

Retail theft

Bueno Yerenia, 26, of the 700 block of West Jones, Plano, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Gnoa Lane and charged with retail theft of two wallets valued at $48, said Yorkville police.

Monday, Sept. 16

Burglary

Yorkville police took a report for burglary that occurred between 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 and 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 16 in the 1400 block of South Bridge Street. An unknown person(s) took an unknown amount of cash and miscellaneous tools.

DUI, DWLS

Gerardo Diaz-Arteagh, 22, of the 1100 block of West 2nd Street, Spring Valley, was arrested at 3:12 a.m. at Route 71 and High Point Road and charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license, said Yorkville police. His vehicle was stopped for improper lane usage and a possible DUI, and officers found Diaz-Arteagh intoxicated. He was also charged with improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol.

Saturday, Sept. 14

Retail theft

Efrain Nunez-Ruiz, 30, of the 300 block of South West Street, Plano, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. in the 900 block of Erica Lane and charged with a city ordinance for retail theft, said Yorkville police. He stole underwear valued at $20.

Warrant

Susan M. Babic, 28, of the 200 block of West Hydraulic Avenue, Yorkville, was arrested at 4:10 a.m. at her residence on a warrant after officers went to the area for a call about suspicious circumstances, said Yorkville police.
