Letter: What’s going on in the Kendall County Sheriff’s office?

What’s going on in the Kendall County Sheriff’s office?

Is it just an unsupervised playground these days? First, we settle a sexual harassment lawsuit and the Deputy Under-Sheriff decides it’s time to retire. Then we have another settlement over a deputy’s use of force at Wal-Mart. Now we have two more sexual harassment lawsuits. What’s next to come? I shudder to think.

I think taxpayers have had enough of Dick Randall and his lack of management. It’s time for a change before we have more embarrassing issues surface in Kendall County. It’s time for a change with real changes that clean up and professionalize this department.

I encourage voters to do their homework and tell Dick Randall it’s time to retire. We can’t keep spending needless tax dollars settling these continuous lawsuits. At the rate the County is going we will have to add a line-item budget for just lawsuits!
