Yorkville gas prices vs Plano.

Anyone know why shell,bp and speedway all consistently raise the prices for gas 20-25 cents at a time and then come down 3 or 5 cents days later? It's literally cheaper to buy gas in Chicago....ridiculous! and it is always cheaper to just go into Plano for gas 30 cents a gallon cheaper...I don't get it same county just different town and road..price gauging on rt47 is what it is....
