Verlee F. Hatcher, 83, was an Election Judge for Over 30 Years

Visitation for Verlee Hatcher will be on Tuesday, June 4 from from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 10 a.m.

Verlee F. Hatcher, age 83 of Plano, IL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on May 12, 1930 in Lomax, IL the daughter of Elmer and Dorothy (Lund) Klossing.

Verlee was united in marriage on September 18, 1954 to Mr. William Howard Hatcher in Burlington, IA and they spent the next 58 happy years together. Mrs. Hatcher was a very active member, for over 50 years, at the First Baptist Church in Plano, IL where she was also taught Sunday School. Verlee was formerly employed as a Cook for the Plano Schools in Plano, IL and also was an Election Judge for 30 years. 

Verlee loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Verlee is survived by her husband, William Hatcher of Plano, IL; her sons, David (Nancy) Hatcher of West Dundee, IL, Steve (Pat) Hatcher of Plano, IL and Ken (Cheryl) Hatcher of Decatur, IL; her 8 grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug) Lyle, Emily (John) Darnell, Kelly Bruno, Bob (Mindy) Hatcher, Jeff Hatcher, Drew Hatcher, Adam Hatcher and Madison Reynolds; her 7 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, Hayden, Quinn, Samantha, Grace and Levi; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Barb Schroeder, Dean Klossing and Don Klossing.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 5, 2013, First Baptist Church, 116 North Hale, Plano. Interment Little Rock Township Cemetery, Plano.
Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 4, 2013, Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street, Plano.
