Robert Dale Williams, 76, of Yorkville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at the Hillside Healthcare Center in Yorkville. He was born on Sept. 12, 1936 in Cadwell, the son of Elva and Wonita (Baltzell) Williams.
Bob was united in marriage on May 29, 1954, to the former Wanda Mae Sawyer, and they spent 58 happy years of their lives together. Mr. Williams was, for over 26 years, a teacher at the Yorkville High School in Yorkville, where he also coached both the Track and Football teams. For several years, he managed the Countryside Movie Theater in Yorkville. Bob enjoyed golfing, and was an avid gardener at his home. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Williams, of Yorkville; his children, Rick Williams, of Yorkville, Marty (Nancy) Williams, of Mahomet, Deana Baumann, of Sandwich, and Curt (Mary) Williams, of Yorkville; his eight grandchildren; his seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Coburn, of Elmhurst; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elva and Wonita Williams; his sister, Marge Phillips; his step grandson, Derek Baumann; and his brothers-in law, Warren Coburn and Keith Phillips.

Friends may visit from 12 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy., Yorkville. Services and interment will be private.
