Minnie M. Zwart, age 91 of Yorkville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at the Countryside Care Center in Aurora. She was born on Dec. 20, 1921 in South Dakota, the daughter of Benjamin and Grace (Klock) Smit.
Minnie was united in marriage in South Dakota on February 7, 1940 to Mr. Henry “Hank” Zwart and they spent the next 69 happy years together until his passing on Jan. 6, 2010. She was formerly employed as a clerk by the Burlington-Northern Railroad. Minnie was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Minnie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Zwart of Yorkville; her granddaughters, Jamie (John) Perez of Yorkville, and Chrissy Zwart of Yorkville; her great- grandchildren, Scott Furlong, Heather Furlong and Madeline Zwart all of Yorkville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Grace Smit; her husband, Hank Zwart; her son, David Zwart on Oct. 5, 2012; and her two brothers, Lester and Edward Smit.

The Zwart Family would like to thank Countryside Care Center and Season’s Hospice for their wonderful care given to Minnie.
Friends may visit from 4 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan.23, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countryside Parkway in Yorkville.
A Funeral Service will then take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, with Pastor David Kaul, officiating. Interment will be private.
