Mary V. Bonales, age 96, of Yorkville, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at her home. She was born in Creek Lake, Texas on Jan. 21, 1916 the daughter of Brijido and Luisa (Mireles) Verastegui.
Mary was united in marriage to Jose Antonio Bonales. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Bonales was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville. Mary was formerly employed by Furnas Electric in Batavia.
She is survived by her children, Antonia Valadez of Yorkville, Benjamin (Susan) Bonales of Lindenhurst, Martin (Virginia) Bonales of Whiting, Ind., and Manuel (Donelle) Bonales of Tinley Park; her 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild; her brother, Joe (Mary) Verastegui of Robstown, Texas; her sister, Maggie (Antonio) Gonzales of Orange Grove, Texas; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brijido and Luisa Verastegui; her husband Jose Bonales; her son, Juan Bonales; and four sisters.
A Funeral Mass was held Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut St., Yorkville. Interment followed in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.
