Maria Dolores Sanchez, age 78 of Sandwich, passed away at her daughters home in Sandwich, on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012. She was born on April 2, 1934 in San Miguel, Mexico, the daughter of Pedro and Elvira (Fuentas) Sanchez.
Maria was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Sandwich. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Maria is survived by her children, Hector (Adriana) Sanchez of DeKalb, and Irma (Gilbert) Buttels of Sandwich; her four grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Elvira Sanchez.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 340 West Arnold Street in Sandwich. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit from 4 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street in Plano, IL.
