Lydia J. DuBovi, age 85 of Wheaton, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Brighten Gardens in Wheaton. She was born on Jan. 12, 1928 in Chicago Heights, the daughter of John and Marie (Andel) Pikna.
Lydia was united in marriage on Nov. 8, 1947 in Chicago Heights, to Mr. Andrew F. DuBovi and they spent the next 54 happy years together until his passing on March 24, 2002. Mrs. DuBovi was a 1946 graduate of Bloom High School in Chicago Heights. She was a member, for over 50 years, of the Chicago Heights V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary. Mrs. DuBovi attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Yorkville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Lydia is survived by her children, Marie (Walter) Schmidt, Hanover Park, Victoria Willet, Genesco, Janet (George) Kester, Crete, Patricia DuBovi, Bristol, Karen (Michael) Madigan, Vidalia, Ga., Andrew J. (Anita) DuBovi, Hobart, Ind. and Lynda DuBovi, Batavia; her nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew F. DuBovi; and a brother, John Pikna.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut Street in Yorkville. Interment will take place at a later date.
Friends may visit from 3 - 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countryside Parkway, Yorkville.
