David J. Hinton, age 60 of Oswego, IL passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. He was born Oct. 5, 1952 in Pana, IL the son of John and Nola (Kay) Hinton.
David was united in marriage Feb. 10, 1971 to the former Miss Connie J. Randour and they spent the next 41 happy years together. Mr. Hinton was employed as a Superintendent, for over 36 years, at Caterpillar, Inc. in Montgomery. Dave and his wife, Connie enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the country in their RV. He also spent many happy hours camping and fishing with his family and friends. Dave especially loved spending time with his four grandchildren. Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

David is survived by his wife, Connie Hinton of Oswego, IL; his daughter, Tracy (Mark) Thurwanger of Plano, IL; and his son, David W. (Jeong) Hinton of El Paso, TX and; his grandchildren, Isabelle and Clarisse Hinton and Payton and Keegan Cullison; his mother, Nola Harderson of Sandwich, IL; his brothers, Ronald (Charlene) Hinton of Millbrook, IL, Grant (Susan) Hinton of Bettendorf, IA and Bill (Chris) McElhone of Sandwich, IL; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Hinton; and brothers, Robert Hinton and Gordon McElhone.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at the Oswego Presbyterian Church, 1976 Route 25 in Oswego, with Reverend Terry Hennesy, officiating. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countryside Parkway in Yorkville.
