Corrine D. Derma, age 80, of Hampshire passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at the home of her niece Denise Blank. She was born on Sept. 5, 1932 in Chicago, the daughter of James and Rose (LaNasa) Monegato.

Corrine was united in marriage on Nov. 4, 1950 to Robert F. Lanum, the father of her first daughter and was later united in marriage on Dec. 14, 1957 to Louis R. Derma until his passing on Sept. 29, 2002. Mrs. Derma was a longtime member of the Kane and DuPage County Association for Home & Community Education. For several years she attended the Illinois State Homemakers Camp in Monticello. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Viola M. Lanum of Springfield, and Bettina L. (Jason) Brumfield of Seymour; her granddaughters, Emma R. Brumfield, Holly A. Brumfield, and Shasoune M. (Derma) Golding; her sisters, Lorraine Shoop of Aurora, and Arlene (Ronald) Hansen of Colorado; her niece with whom she lived with and was cared for by, Denise (Scott) Blank of Hinckley; as well as her nieces and nephews, Tammy (Willie) Griffin of Aurora, Robert Hansen of Batavia, Betty Hansen of Dwight, and Frank (Robin) Hansen of Davenport, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rose Monegato; her first husband, Robert F. Lanum; her second husband, Louis R. Derma; and a son, Michael J. Derma who passed away on Feb. 6, 1992.

Funeral Services were on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 N. Maple St., Hinckley, with Pastor Michael Kanai officiating. Interment will be private.
