Marie Lillian Worland, 89, Enjoyed Traveling with her Husband

Marie Lillian Worland, age 89, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Sandwich Rehabilitation and Health Care in Sandwich, IL. She was born on November 14, 1923 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Stephan and Lillian (Voelkner) Bazan.

Marie was united in marriage on January 9, 1988 to Maurice Worland and they spent the next 25 happy years together. She was a loving wife, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Worland was a very active member of Trinity Church United Methodist in Yorkville, IL and its Women’s Circle. Marie was formerly employed by Alexander Lumber in Aurora, IL. She was a member of the Home Extension and volunteered at Senior Services in Yorkville, IL. Marie was an excellent cook and enjoyed freezing and canning food. Maurice and Marie enjoyed spending time together traveling extensively throughout the United States and other countries.

She is survived by her husband, Maurice Worland of Yorkville, IL; her sisters, Frances Sebby of Yorkville, IL and Lydia (Fred) Kimberly of Princeton, IL; her brothers, Leonard (Gloria) Bazan of Mt. Prospect, IL, Stephan Bazan of Yorkville, IL, John Bazan of Seneca, IL, Donald (Isabel) Bazan of Ogden, KS, and Robert (Sharon) Bazan of Yorkville, IL; her sister-in-law, Eileen Miller of Elgin, IL; her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews;  her many friends; as well as her caretaker, Claudia Tait.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephan and Lillian Bazan; and her niece, Carol Bryant; and her nephew, Steven Sebby.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Trinity Church United Methodist, 2505 Boomer Lane, Yorkville, IL with Pastor John Bell officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk, IL.

Friends may visit from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy., Yorkville, IL.
