Linda Lou Randour Mandle, 63, Former YHS Teacher, Passed After Battle with Cancer

A visitation will be held for Lou Mandle on Tuesday, April 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at 9 a.m.

Lou Mandle passed away on April 27 after a short, yet courageous, battle with cancer. Lou was born in Pekin, IL on August 11, 1949 to Victor and Mary Randour. She is survived by her loving husband, Kenn Mandle; her sister, Connie Hinton; her two sons, Shaye (Lynn) and Darien (Angie); and her four grandchildren, Piper (14), Zane (12), Ava (7) and Grady (5).

Lou dedicated her passion for learning to the development of future leaders as a teacher at Yorkville High School for 17 years, having retired in 2009.

She adored her family and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, taking them on shopping trips and showering them with love. She was enjoying retirement by spending time with close friends, visiting various casinos and taking trips to Arizona and to Minnesota to visit her family. She will be greatly missed and eternally loved.

A Visitation will be held at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countryside Parkway in Yorkville on Tuesday, April 30th from 4-7pm and the Funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 1st at 9am at the same location. Memorials may be made to the Lou Mandle Memorial Fund, 508 Blaine St., Yorkville, IL 60560.
