Photo: Students Give Homeless Flu Shots, Blood Pressure Checks

Aurora University nursing students volunteered their time and talents at Hesed House in Aurora.

A special thanks to Aurora University media relations director Al Benson for sharing this photograph and news release:

Yorkville resident Stephanie Peterson, left in the photograph above, checked the blood pressure of Hesed House homeless shelter resident John Davis on Dec. 2. Peterson was among 10 Aurora University senior nursing students who gave free flu shots and blood-pressure checks at a first health fair for residents, staff and volunteers at the Aurora shelter. Julie Garcia, RN, AU nursing instructor, supervised.
