Notes from Kendall County Food Pantry

The Kendall County Food Pantry is a 501c3 not for profit organization with an audited 97% return of all goods and money to our clients.

The Kendall County Food Pantry has in the past been fortunate to be able to provide ample amounts of food for our clients due to very generous donations from the community.

Unfortunately the economy has recently overwhelmed our efforts to provide the same amount of food for our clients as we have in the past. We are putting out a plea to the community for donations of any kind. Money ($1.00 turns into $6.00) and food are the two largest needs. Specifically the food we need is: canned fruit, cooking oil, soup, canned meats and cereal.

Thank you

FYI, I know Jewel has a HUGE bin where people can leave food donations. I know the people of Yorkville our commited to helping others. This is such a great organization for our community and surrounding areas. I know how much just a small donation helps them to support our locals in need of assistance. Please give!

It is much better to maximize your contribution if you can and give the cash donation, $1.00 turns into $6.00 of food, than to buy a $1.00 can or food item and then donate that item to KCFP, which is only 1 for 1 transaction. Multiply your desire to give and help more by a factor of 6 and choose to donate a small cash donation.
A small $5.00 cash donation, becomes $30 of food.
