They don't even say hello. "Hi Jen! What can I get for you today?" I love that. It's nearly the same order every time: 5 shredded chicken tacos to go. (I eat 2 for breakfast the following day. Truth.)
I forgot to mention a very important part: The tacos are only $1. every Tuesday.
I walk in and get my tacos. Next comes the fun part. The salsa bar! There's every taco condiment you can think of in this 6 foot bar. My choices: Limes, spicy carrot slices, cilantro, onion and my beloved Yucateca salsa.
The salsa bar is included in every purchase. No extra charge for delightful choices. There are little containers that you can fill with various salsas.
I am the Yucateca salsa pusher. Every time I am in there, I find some new victim to push the Yucateca salsa on. It's usually the person at the table closest to me or someone who is also dishing out delights from the salsa bar. "You have to try this Yucateca salsa. I come in here specifically for this. It's really good." They take the small container of the best salsa on the planet with a smile. I hope that they love it as much as I do.
One last thing to mention: The owners. It's one family. They have the whitest teeth you've ever seen and are the most accommodating and polite. The Arechiga-Santillan family are the owner/operators.
