Hopeful for 2012
The instructions were- send a photo of yourself with a note of what you are happy/hopeful about. The results were amazing. Cheers to an amazing 2012! Hope, Light, and Peace to All.
It started about 2 weeks before Christmas. It didn't FEEL like Christmas. I thought about my friends, my family. Some had lost a loved one in most recent years.
I thought about the friends of the Suicide Prevention Services Facebook page. (www.facebook.com/spsfv). Some have been attempters of suicide and others lost a loved one to suicide. I felt I needed to do something to electronically get everyone to hold hands and have hope.
The video idea came to fruition. The posted instructions were: Email me a picture of yourself/your child/your pet holding a sign with what you are hopeful or happy about. People from all over the country sent in their photos. As each photo arrived in my inbox, I felt a spark of energy and light that felt like Christmas. I couldn't wait to share it. Here is the completed video.
