Video: St. Baldrick's Fundraiser at Rosati's
Mayor Gary Golinski's head and mustache were shaved Saturday to raise money for childhood cancer research.
About 45 people had their heads shaved on St. Patrick's Day to raise money for childhood cancer research.
More than that came off at , though. Mayor Gary Golinski ended up having his mustache shaved, too, after last-minute donations pushed him past his $1,000 fundraising goal. Other participants included Kendall County State's Attorney Eric Weis and Rosati's manager TJ Banning.
Overall, the event raised about $9,000, organizer Chris Cherwin said.
