Brazil International Service Project

(Volunteer)
"Prior to nursing school I had always aspired to travel abroad to provide nursing services to those in need. I have just been given this wonderful opportunity. I will be helping a community who does not have access to regular medical care. Many of the people we will see may have never seen a doctor for care before. I will be using the skills I have learned as a nursing student to help impact lives. This will be an extraordinary opportunity to use my skills without the help of technology."

Mom needs A Car

(Emergencies)
"I recently lost my car.All attempts to fix proved futile due to the fact that price of fixing the problem was and still is more than the price of the vehicle itself.I need this car especially with me going to school, kids going to school,my job and with the winter approaching. I am appealing to your sense of giving to please help this Mum.The purchase of this vehicle will enable my children and I have a better life."

Please help Cancer medical bills

(Medical)
"On October 16 2012 I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast and Lymph node cancer on my left breast I had a tumor removed that was the size of a golf ball and 14 Lymph nodes removed. I had six boughts of Chemotherapy and 32 sessions of radiation. I was not able to work for over 4 months and had no income source at that time. My last radiation session was in May 2013 and then I went in for physical theapy to regain strengh in my arm this was a period of 2 months.

I also had a second surgery on my right breast in August 2013 to remove pre cancer cells. In September 2013 I had a mild heart attack.
Its a daily battle to stay strong and try to get back to normal. My chemotherapy just kicked my ass it really changes you. But now I have these outstanding medical bills that have to be paid. I owe money for blood work, surgery, radiation treatment, doctor visits, physical therapy and some chemo treatments. These bills are over whelming I really need some help."

13.1 miles for St. Jude's

(Volunteer)
"My name is Chana Lo Destro and I have been donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital every month for the past 4 years.
I have also recently signed up for my very first half-marathon. I have never been big on running until the end of the summer when I completed a 10k (6.2 miles) then trained for a 15k (9.3 miles) and have since decided to run 13.1 miles!

While I was running the other day I decided that I wanted to combine two things that I really enjoy doing. Donating to St. Jude's and running. Come race day (June 8, 2013) I will wear a shirt that says "I run for the children at St. Jude's" and I would love to be able to send a special gift to St. Jude's."

Help Support The Mattingly Family!

(Emergencies)
"Shane, Mandy and their three adorable kids Aubriana, Sophia and Miles are in need of some assistance to try and get their lives back in order after the tragic events this past Sunday, November 17th in Washington. They lost everything in the storm but each other. I can't imagine ever having to go through what they did, but the resilience and positive outlook they have on life is just simply amazing."
