Voters for Val Fundraiser

Mayoral candidate Valerie Burd provided the following information in a news release:

Voters for Val is holding a campaign fundraiser for Mayor Valerie Burd at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Stonefire Restaurant & Pub, 2075 Marketview Dr., Yorkville.

Tickets for the event are $25 per person or $40 a couple.  Twenty percent of the profit will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a foundation supporting breast cancer research.  The event will include hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and a performance by the musical group The Trio beginning at 8 p.m.

People who can’t attend but who would like to support Burd’s re-election campaign may send a check payable to Voters for Val to 32 Gawne Lane, Yorkville, IL 60560.  Voters for Val is a campaign committee registered with the State Board of Elections.  For more information, call 630-553-4566.
